Welcome to Industrial Strength, LLC. , home of the SharpAss Needle and Naked All Natural.

Industrial Strength LLC is owned and operated by Maria J Pinto for over 30 years. Proudly it is the world’s leading US manufacturer and worldwide distributor of body piercing needles. This passion and innovation was passed down from her grandfather John J Gowacki who developed and held 5 US patents for hypodermic needles and grinding machines 68 years ago.

The success and mission of Industrial Strength LLC is the dedication to quality, reliability and communication with professional body piercers for their knowledge to continually develop innovative products and procedures to help the industry grow. Our vertically manufactured products use only the highest quality materials, precision and advanced technology to ensure we sell only the best.

1972

Maria J Pinto's (Founder of Industrial Strength LLC) grandfather John J Glowacki began Glowacki Medical in Branford CT designing specific machinery and needle geometry for hypodermic needle manufacturing.​

1973

Glowacki patented 5 methods and needles specific to hypodermic needle grinding.​

1976

Glowacki Medical grew into Lifeline Products Inc., becoming one of the world's most renowned manufacturers of hypodermic needles, celebrated for its precision and innovation.

1977

From the late 1970s until her passing in 2020, Carol Pinto—Glowacki's daughter and Maria's mother—played a pivotal role in every facet of Glowacki Medical and Lifeline Products Inc., leaving behind a legacy of dedication and excellence.

1983

After Glowacki's passing in 1983, Carol J Pinto (Glowacki) became the president of Lifeline Products and took the company to new levels. Maria worked along side of her mother since she was a teenager and returning after college. Maria followed in her grandfathers footsteps while helping her mother manage and operate the business all while learning the industry and assisting medical houses with design aspects.

1995 - 1996

As a body modification enthusiast, Maria recognized the need for a needle specifically designed for piercing—one that could exit tissue cleanly without tearing. This vision led to the creation of Industrial Strength in 1995, home of the SharpASS Needle. In 1996, Industrial Strength officially became an LLC, cementing its place in the industry.

2005

Naked All Natural was developed in 2005 to fill a void for in the tattoo and piercing industry for an all natural aftercare brand that was free from synthetic dyes, latex, parabens, and other harmful chemicals. Maria believed healthy, nurtured skin is the most important factor when it comes to healing and by creating recipes to harness all natural ingredients that help create the power of healthy all natural healing.

2006

Maria took on the role of Vice President at Lifeline Products Inc., where she successfully managed operations while simultaneously leading Industrial Strength LLC. For over a decade, she balanced the demands of both companies. However, as Industrial Strength LLC experienced explosive growth, Maria recognized the need to shift her focus entirely to its continued success, dedicating herself fully to driving the company’s expansion and innovation.

2012

In 2012, Maria secured a grant and loan through HEDCO and the State of Connecticut to expand her operations and build her own machinery. At the time, she was utilizing all the grinding machines at her family’s business and needed to scale up to meet growing demand. With these funds, she transformed her grandfather’s patented machinery into fully automated systems, significantly boosting production capacity. Over the past 13 years, Maria has continued to innovate, develop, and design advanced machinery equipped with cutting-edge technology—honoring her grandfather’s legacy while pushing the boundaries of modern manufacturing

2020

In 2020 Maria was honored with the prestigious award of SBA Manufacturer of the Year, along with a certificate of special recognition from the State of Connecticut

2022

This year in 2023 to offer competitive shipping rates throughout the UK, Ireland, and Scotland, Industrial Strength LLC USA has expanded "over the pond" with a UK distribution center to be run by Maria's sister, Nicole J Pinto.

2023

In Summer 2023, Maria and her team reintroduced the Naked Natural Alternative Skincare line with the same beloved recipes that customers adore. Naked remains dedicated to creating exceptional skincare designed for tattoos, piercings, and bare skin. For nearly 20 years, our small-batch formulations have harnessed the healing power of nature’s finest ingredients to deliver real results. Our products are proudly free from synthetic dyes, latex, parabens, and other harmful chemicals—because we believe skincare should be clean, simple, and effective. And let’s be clear: we never test on animals. We’re committed to honest ingredients and top-notch results—no smoke, no mirrors, just real good sh*t!
